RE: 500th Turn
Nice to see the Chinese score some fighter kills. I got some of them behind the stick of the P40s in '44 but they still faired poorly.
RE: 500th Turn
Kurt: mine aren't to bad now. But I've had time to train them.

Bombed. For 2 days a Jap tank Rgt attacks our cut off Chinese infantry. Yesterday they attack and get a 1:2 today they get a 1:8 resulting in 26 AFVs disabled or distroyed. I am wondering if I should attack the next turn.

RE: 500th Turn
Do NOT attack Japanese tanks of any type with Chinese troops. They have no A/T weapons in their infantry units.
On defence they can set up tank traps and such to disable a Japanese attack.

Burma
Japs bomb my stacks moving into postion around Mandalay and Magwee. Koniu loses 22 Helens for no gain.
Op About Dam Time is a go.
CVs are 6 hexs away and amphib TFs are 12 hexs away. One of the amphib TFs must of had to refuel during the nite. I am hoping that in 2 days they will be disembarking troops or in the hex barring more refuels or something. No signs of the KB. I have been able to sneak a few picket ships into likely avenues of approach. I have roughly 100 B24D's ready to launch. I am thinking of letting them fly tomorrow and hit the AF. I only see 25 bombers and 11 Aux. Onotoa looks empty from recon. I have an IR and NBF loaded so I am moving them forward, hopeng for an easy grab.

RE: 500th Turn
If I had done as well as you have I would be very happy! I think you are in a very good position! [:)]

RE: 500th Turn
Thanks Joc. When I read your AAR. I think you have done a fine job. I don't say much in your AAR because you have a better grasp on the game than I do. I don't want to give you bad advise.
Ok, I have looked in the manual and on the forum search. Can someone remind me what the colors mean for Nav Search(blue green and black)?

RE: SCLS!!!
I feel for you! [:(] Been there, done that...sucks BIG TIME!
To cheer you up a bit I can tell you that in about 1 years time you will be able to match the KB again! Your industry will start churning out about 2 CVEs per week! While a advance in CENTPAC is now out of the equation you are in a good position in Burma. The CV losses won´t change that. And its perfectly doable to jump up the NG coast. Quite rapidly in fact! You are still not defeated in China which means he will have to keep forces there.
If I were you I would try and link up with the Chinese and possible open the Burma road again. If you can do that and get supplies to the Chinese you can perhaps start to fight back in China. I suck at China but I´m assuming your troops are in pretty decent EXP now but lack supply?
Hang in there. Try to find joy in other areas! [:)]
I took a sneak peak at konius AAR. I am a bit curious to what went wrong with your strike???
Looks like about 2/3 of the DB never took off? And why so few Escorts for the ones that did take off? Messed up settings?

RE: SCLS!!!
When I close with USN carriers I like to have a pair of ASW DDs 40nm in front performing ASW and picket duty. I'm not sure the ASW mission is so effective but they do seem to sop up some the incoming raiders.

RE: SCLS!!!
Hey guys thanks for the encouragement. I had to step away from the game last nite. Still not for sure why my escorts didn't fly. I looked at one of the groups and it had a sucky leader. I did count 11 Jap CVs though. With all the planes shot down I am getting reports that he has more planes now than I had before the fight, so Koniu set up a good ambush. I feel like such a failure.
24th May
Carriers in the Gilberts
Gilberts
We lose the Enterprise, North Carolina with 4 DDs. As you can see from above we will lose Yorktown and maybe a few other ships. I'm am thinking of sending some of the damaged ships at the KB so the rest can flee. I am also thinking of sending some DDs towards the KB in a possible nite attack. My transports didn't get attacked because they still hadn't met up with my CVs. For some reason they only went 3 hexs from the day before. I had 48 fighers on LRCAP with them. They could of helped out the CVs if I would of left them on CAP. I also lost 12 B24Ds while attacking Tabiteuea's AF. KB is 5 hexs away, so not for sure if I can escape.
China
Koniu attacked Chungking with Helens and lost 34 of them.
Ramree Island
We sweep and take down 12 Tojos for no loses.
I damage a sub off of Cooktown and he damages one of ours off the HI. I will post combat report below.

We sweep and take down 12 Tojos for no loses.
I damage a sub off of Cooktown and he damages one of ours off the HI. I will post combat report below.
