Sadly, I don't think it will ever disappear. The penalties are just not strong enough.
In Sweden I do not think they get any punishment at all. [:(]

Lets move on. The Spurs seems to have a decent season this year but to much seems to depend on Bale playing. Tough to leave the Euro cup on penalties but at least now you can focus on the league.
warspite1

Just like last season our league form has deserted us and we are now 5th and struggling for a Champions League place. I hate football anyway and its a stupid girls game [;)]

Go Baltimore Ravens!!..or something....[:D]

Did I say girls game? What a great manly game for real men that asociation football is.

Possibly the best England team was Mexico 70. Only Brazil were better and they were the best football team I have ever seen.

Sadly, England have not been a good side for a number of years now. I still think that they had a fantastic result in the last Euro Championships. For a team that dreadful to get to the quarter-finals and to go out to Italy after penalties is a amazing achievement.

Best wishes,
Steve

He's the Uruguayan Liverpool striker that has a general reputation for cheating, was involved in the racial incident with Patrice Evra previously, and at the weekend decided it would be a good idea to bite Ivanovic of Chelsea...like you do...... Apparently he bit someone when he as playing in the Dutch League Eredivisie too.

Like the referee, I did not see it. But what else are you supposed to do when you get a bit peckish during a game? He can hardly say in his thick Uruguayan accent, "Sorry lads, I am just off for cheese sandwich carry on without me for a few minutes."

Best wishes,
Steve

I hope so. Makes for a nice change and I kind of like how they play.

With that said I think the referees in the Bayern versus Barcelona made an abysmal performance.

A Spanish newspaper, ABC, rate the best club football supporters in Europe. Fun, but surprising, reading for me. I cut in the list below.

1. Borussia Dortmund
2. Inter
3. Salernitana
4. Galatasaray
5. Bayern München
6. AIK
7. St Etienne
8. Sampdoria

I couldn't get the link - but I would be interested to hear the criteria. I see AIK are there!

Yes. AIK is there. [:)] I have no idea if it is well deserved or not but it is fun.

I used google translate to translate the motivation to English and cut it in below.

In contrast to the cold temperatures that are often measured in relation to matches in Scandinavia, so raises the temperature of the fans every year. Bengals, banners and tifon enliven the Swedish stands in stadiums, where especially AIK's fans are active and original.

I couldn't watch the last 5 min overtime, was too much pressure for me.

Dortmund. I like the way they play, seen them play against my home team Hannover often. I sympathise for them, just hate Bayern, shame that they seem to be advancing to the final in Wembeley. They are already league champions in the Bundesliga, 1 title too much for me and it looks like they might get a triple this year.

Well I'm rooting for Borussia Dortmund too. I like the club colours - and it would be nice to see the trophies spread around.
