Thank you and yes I know that. I have the patch and have had the game since day one. Others may be new to the game since it is still arguably the best CW game available. Almost all of the forums have a stickied thread with a note about and link to the latest patch. FoF should, too. I note that neither the FAQ thread or the Support forum mentions the patch.

This is peculiar. I've just reinstalled (from CD) on my new HD and played it a bit. Then downloaded the 12.2 patch and it tells me the serial I'm trying to use is invalid.

Any idea what that could be about?

ADDIT: Duhh!!!

Helps if you use the serial key on the Forge of Freedom CD instead of the War in the Pacific AE CD! [:D]
