Ya, that too.

Seems like they let an orangutan loose on a keyboard to do that page.

Picky, picky, picky. [;)]

Our PR guy is actually Italian and while the rest of us review these before they go out, sometimes we miss an odd phrase here or there. We do know English in general. [8D]

So the weak link in English is the PR guy? That sounds like a plan [:D]

It's been documented - spelling mistakes in a website results in lost sales.

I don't think it's just "being picky" if such mistakes have a demonstrable effect on Matrix sales.

I do not not deny that, it was the fact that you noticed it first amused me. Oh how I have missed your witty banter [:D]

An online entrepreneur says that poor spelling is costing the UK millions of pounds in lost revenue for internet businesses.

Silly BBC... You need credible sources.

No, the article doesn't assert that it is an absolute truth - so perhaps my use of "demonstrable" is giving too much credit to the source. Personally, I agree with the results for the most part. I'll tend to apply a higher level of skepticism to a site that is riddled with errors than one that has, at least, run the text through a spell checker. That is not to say that a properly spelled and grammatically correct site will have me clicking on "buy now" button for the latest addition to the market of herbal Viagra...

Given the minuscule cost of spell-checking the page compared to the loss in revenue from the loss of a single sale, I think it's a reasonable position for Matrix to try to avoid this sort of thing... or at least once they've noticed it, try to correct it (errors remain at time of this posting).

Wouldn't call it picky. PR guy doesn't bother to run through his words in a spellcheck or equivalent?

I'll call it a person who sees a mistake and by actively telling them of the mistake, wishes success for the company,

Case in point:

If you don't care about spelling, then this shouldn't bother you.
