I read the closing too quickly, I thought it said extreme WRATH and tenderness, must have been a freudian slip.

Something quite astounding happened yesterday. I went to an Angels game and Albert Pujols got TWO hits. [X(]

Naturally, it wasn't all wine and roses because this cut into his double-play ball production.

I think I told the story of when two gumshoes from Calif. Franchise Tax Board came to my door and tried to get me to narc on my neighbor. White Crown Vic, E plates, no hubcaps, bad suits..the whole nine yards.

He had a big sports income at the time and bought a big house that his parents lived in. He wasn't around much himself, claiming a Nevada residence. This really pissed of Sacramento because they wanted their cut (11%) so they sent out the CSI Orange County team to knock on doors.

My first wife answered and misunderstood the point of their questions so she (trying to be neighborly) is trying to imply that he IS there all the time. When I got to the door the two guys were so excited I thought they would have to change their underwear.

FAM: <several seconds of confusion on my part followed by an epiphany> So if I understand, you want the man's neighbors to provide evidence of residency for Califronia tax purposes?

Gumshoes: For the purpose of preventing tax evasion, yes. We all need to pay our fair share.

FAM: <idiot picked the wrong street for the class envy approach> But I actually SUPPORT tax evasion.

I had my own Franchise Tax Board buddy for about 5 years after that.

Pranning for 4-10. As both Clark and Manila will have bombers, there is a substantial risk that something is going to get sunk on our side, possibly a CVE or two. Iba is a big prize, however. We need to get something with more staying power than 400 paratroops up there quick.

Wasp will arrive 1 day later, she is still putting the wings and rubber bands on the new F6F's

Mrs. Christensen always told me I needed to study my nouns more. I should have listened to her.

At one point I actually had both a personal Franchise Tax Board collection agent AND a Franchsie Tax Board official ombudsmanwoman. Unfortunately, I mixed them up and complained about the collection agent to the collection agent.

This proved to be a mistaken approach.

I told what I thought was the Ombudsmanwoman over the phone that the collection agent had "a sexy voice but her office chair groans in protest when she moves so I fugure she is at least 300 lbs and had to have the armrests removed so she wouldn't get stuck". There was a very, very, VERY long pause and I got that hot feeling of the face and the ears ringing feeling when you know you have screwed up royally.

The good news is I did learn my lesson about "do it yourselfism". I decided NOT to do my own colonoscopy at home.

Speaking of taxes, as the game date approaches April 15, I find myself becoming increasingly cranky in real life.

Either we got lucky with weather or the prep attacks worked well as there are NO air attacks on any shipping near the PI and Iba airfield is also unmolested.
