I watched the replay. The bad guys are coming from Rangoon, it appears.
Kweiyang finally fell in a 2 to 1 assault.

Mars vs. Venus
So SG went over to Pocahantas Girl's place last night. It seems she finalized her divorce. Her ex pays the mortgage and property taxes on the ranchburger in perpetuity. And then there is the small matter of a couple of cars and $15K per month. [X(]
PG had a wedding reception for her mom a short time ago and I was down by the bar with Captain John Smith. He was complaining even then about the mortgage. He did stray from the straight and narrow...but still...hard to not have some sympathy for the guy. He tried to get the bartender to break into the good stuff (which he had paid for of course) for a martini but the bartender, not realizing Capt Smith was the owner, was followink ze orders of PG to serve only the stuff on top of the bar. I thought he was going to come over the bar at the guy.
To make matters worse, the bouncer type guy that Captain Smith sends over to serve papers on PG is smitten by the bolt-ons and they end up hooking up. D'oh!
Anyway, back to the point. SG is telling me the details of the settlement with a little too much relish and all I say is "Don't spike the football"
Hory crap! <fit hits Shan>

Yes, I see where you are going with that. Weekend trip to the mountains for PG and the process server.....O-ring somewhere in the brake line mysteriously fails....fluid leaks out......

SHE LIVES!
Not Pocahantas Gril, I'm talking about the New and Improved New Mexico. 85% flotation damage..making 5 kts..captain's model of Golden Hind badly singed.
I am seriously impressed. 7 torpedo hits.

Wow. That's seriously impressive.
[Sound of auctioneer banter over the intercom] "Who'll give me 2? 2? 2:1 odds she sinks before reaching port?"
[A JFB fanboi hand goes up in the back of the parlor]
"To the Yellow Peril in the back! 2:1 odds! Are there any Allied fanbois that want to take these odds? 2:1? Going once?..."

I'll not take 2:1 considering the Netties can come back...then there are the subs...and the trip to India or Ceylon.
We might be able to smack down Rangoon in a big daylight raid but there are still 85 LYB fighters there. Most likely they are flying daylight missions again.
Some will be on escort or maybe even sweep missions, and some will be damaged from the night raids but that is still a rot of LYB's.

Marital advice (whether you want it or not):
Never EVER interrupt (or even look askance) when women are doing a victory dance to celebrate a punitive divorce settlement. This, I now realize, is a mystical and highly symbolic exorcism (and public flaying of the skin, drawing and quartering and Bobbitism of the offending male). It is best to slink away and go watch a baseball game or something, even if you don't like baseball.
Your opinion will not be welcome. It's like bringing barbecue sauce to a papua New Guinea eating of the brain ceremony.

$650 for window motor regulator? No wonder you get a free car wash and free espresso.
I decided to hold back the reinforcement convoy for Iba in the Sulu Sea to wait for Wasp and the BB's to catch up. Wasp is a CAP factory. She has 9 TBF's and ther rest are fighters, mostly F6F's. If things go as planned, Wasp, the CVE's and the large amphbious force with 21st Marine Regt will rendezvous off Palawan, leaving a 2 d run to Iba across the South China Sea.
It looks like Iba will be safe for a few days. Nothing at Clark is moving. There are some units at Manira which are moving NW. A Jap regt is identified at Tuguegarao. The big Manira seige force is on the move from Batangas and may arrive tomorrow in Manira.
Wichita will attempt to bombard Manira again tonight. Spitfire sweeps over Manira. Corsair sweeps over Clark and both fields will be visited by the B-24's from Cagayan.
PT boats and some APD's and DM's going to Iba to mine the port and provide some security.

I think it was the Modified Bay of Bengal Line Ahead Formation Royal Navy protocol of 1943...or maybe the Chief Gunnery officer of Atago was in the crapper. She is late to the fight.
