Travel vectors in pre warp ?

Post by Wolfe1759 »

Travel vectors were one of the best additions to UI in Legends, just fired up the pre warp tutorial in Shadows and travel vectors don't seem to be working.

Maybe this is because the travel is now in-system, can't remember if this was shown in Legends as most of the time you were hyper-jumping between systems. With the pre warp focus now firmly (at least at the beginning) in-system showing in-system travel vectors would be very very helpful. Without them it sort of puts me off playing pre warp though it does look like a lot of fun.

I believe it only applies to Warping ships.

Vectors only apply to warp ships, as stated before. Pre-warp you will basically spend all your time inside your system, this making the vectors irrelevant, at least to me. I don't think you will lose a lot by this, and in fact, it may be WAD, I can imagine the mess of vectors when only looking inside your initial system during pre-warp.

Bottom line, do not miss the pre-warp era, as it is truly fun, and much more representative of the struggle to become a space faring civilization in the midst of powerful raiders...
