Crash! :(

After a few hours of playing the game crashed with this following error message... [:(]

I'm having the same crash with the same message. Happened the first time after three hours of playing a 1400 stars/15x15 sector shadows-pirates game, but even after reboots becoming more frequent since- including after hotfix.

Yep, it's not any kind of fun with crashes... had another even nastier one today, it crashed WHILE saving the game.... [:(]

Hi guys, what operating system and how much memory do each of you have? If XP and 2GB or less you should be playing the smaller galaxy sizes.

I use Win XP Pro. Got 3GB physical ram and PAE (Physical Address Extension enabled.) So this really shouldn't be an issue for me... [:(]

Still, XP 32-bit is not great at the memory management if you're playing the really large galaxy sizes, try something smaller like 700 or less and let me know if it makes a difference.

I'm running Windows 7 (32 bit) with 3GB RAM. I'll try smaller galaxies and let you know about how things perform.

These types of memory crashes are non-existant on x64 Win 7 and 8 OS? If so I will consider updating my OS. [:D]

Yes, if you play Windows Vista/7/8 64-bit with .NET 4.5 and 4GB+ of RAM they don't happen at all.
