I'm somewhat baffled over the maths behind engine production. In the example shown I'm producing 332 Ha-32 engines a month and using 234 a month yet the overall trend in pool numbers is falling? This is not an isolated case I've found that to get the engine pool to show a rising trend you need to produce at lease 1/3 more engines than are being used? I know there will be some variation in the pool depending upon which a/c are being produced for any given day but the trend should still be up if you produce more than you use.
That would be because of the R&D bonus after 500 engines are in the pool ... I'd guess there has been a see-saw effect ?

I don't think it is tracker, I think it's a game problem. I've done some calculations from within the game and they tally with what tracker is telling me but there is a problem somewhere.

The pic below shows the Ha-33 engine history over a 37 day perid. During the whole of this perid I was producing 100 and using 90 except for a 15 day period between 580-595 when usage was 150. The pool during this time has fallen by 90 over the 37 day period. Yes I expect it to fall 580-595 but not before and not after these turns. Any suggestions in what I might be missing? Is it a bug?

I better add no damage or supply problems at the base, no HI problems and I was not building any engine factories.

Possible it might be something to do with it but why, apart from the research bonus, I thought engines were not used in R&D aircraft.

I'd need to see a full listing of your R&D for planes using this engine during this time to see if there is a problem...

From my Econ101 doc ...

Also, when the engine bonus kicks in over the 500 engine threshold, for every point of bonus research achieved each turn, that number of engines is deducted from the pool. This is above the nominal research rate.

E.g. So below 500 the research for a plane at 120(0) R&D = 4, no engines used.
Above the 500 the research for the plane at 120(0) R&D = 8, 4 engines used.

Missed that and it would explain what's happening. From turn 599 I've had 4 points of research to the D4Y3 per turn and if I've now got it right I'm using an extra 2 engines per turn.

Thanks

For info only my currently research of a/c using the Ha-32 is 150 so that's 5 a day, 150 a month. No wonder I was struggling with the maths. And I was thinking that the engine research bonus was free, I think i'll go and .

Once again.

Where can I find figures for supplies produced daily for a given region?

There is Industry > Supply&Fuel > Supply Prod tab, but the figure there seems to be for regional LI and HI working at maximum capacity with adequate fuel and resources. There are several locations in China which often fail to produce supplies due to lack of fuel or resources ( Kunming, Chunking and Chengtu come to mind). Is there a way to track such figures in Tracker?

Hi all,

Any ideas on this one:

Tracker has been loading up fine and for some reason the past 5 turns it's NOT loading up Intel data. The save game folder and files haven't changed and it loads up the other data for each turn - for example Alert screen ,air losses etc but NOT intel anymore[&:]

Send me the asigint.txt file to witptracker @ gmail.com.
Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

I'll have to check this again for 1.91, but in my version I have applied this condition.

I decided to use Tracker with RHS mod. I had to update the Kull's region definitions because RHS adds lots of new bases. I addes new regions and sorted lots of bases. When I went to Regional Industry tab, the screen froze. I closed Tracker and tried launching it again, and I got an error message. Tracker will not load.

Yeah, this is something to do with the regions. Can you send me the region file you used and a save and I'll see if I can get to the bottom of it? Send to witptracker @ gmail.com

Thanks, but it won't be needed. I used the Search function to comb this thread for an answer to my problem and found the solution. Seems I just need to delete the db files and start Tracker again and it loads without an error. Problem solved.

BigBadWolf, make sure you move a copy of the right pwsdll.dll file into the tracker folder. I think you have an old one now, just move it from the main WitP folder to your tracker folder.

Hiya!

jost got a new Java error message with the tracker, one that I´ve not seen before. In fact, running tracker to read the turn from a static tracer menu option (like aircraft comparison) has provided hass-free data management for weeks now. This is the first error message I got which was not expected by me:

Code: Select all

java.sql.SQLException: Violation of unique constraint $$: duplicate value(s) for
  column(s) $$: SYS_PK_59

It's in a section of code related to cleaning things up in the database after a base is captured. It's probably harmless to ignore. I may want to see the files to try to fix it...
