Adding new races in a theme - do I need the vanilla race files?

Post by Mansen »

Can anyone tell me what files need to be present in a theme mod to incorporate all of the vanilla races properly?

Do I need to add their designTemplates, dialogue and so forth to make the game read these, or do I only need the race files and the game will load the rest up from the vanilla folders?

I'm trying to keep the size and files down as much as possible - efficiency and all that.

Edit: Got my answer - only the race files are needed (the ones in the races folder)

As you've worked out yourself, yes only the race files are needed
Of course, if you include the other files, you can still alter them to suit your own desires
