RE: Subs Score!!!
Koniu told me he is produceing around 20 fighters a day and hopes to expand that to 40. Thats a lot, he did say that it was about what the Japs produced in RL. Oh to be able to produce my own fighters.

We bomb the AF and do moderate damage. We also attack an amphib TF putting a 500 pounder into a CM and an xAK. I have redirected a sub to go into the hex and take a shot at something. I have also dispatced 2 Fletchers to make an attack on this TF. They should hit it during the am phase.
NASW for both side sucked this turn. Jap AASW hits 2 of our subs. He's stepping up his AASW game in the Solomons.

Bombed. Japs are still kicking my LCUs around in the North.
Burma
Opps a motor BDE moves into Magwee without AA support. I expect it to get bombed tomorrow. Most of my better fighters are stood down for replacements and rest. I should be able to get some AA in 2 days. So they will have to hunker down and take it.
Manus
Fleet boat sinks an xAK. Our DDs didn't make it. The TF left during the night, but I do see a TF at Hollandia. As far as I can see they haven't been spotted so they will make a run up there. I bet this will shock him seeing DDs in his back yard. Fighters are also seen here. I expected this so now I am going to sweep.
HI
Fleet boat puts a TT into an AK, another sub puts 8 shells into an AKL.
Moving stuff around for 2 ops. Op 1 "Tag your it" OP 2 is named "Bullwinkle". He gave me the idea to push on with a thought I have had. More on these later.

Nothing. AA unit reaches Magwe more units will arrive in the next few days. To the east of Mandalay 5 Jap units wait in the jungle. 1 ID, 1 IR, 1 art the others I don't know. I bombed these units plus the AFs at Lashio and Bhamo. I will continue to bomb them hopeing to destroy their supplies. It looks like units are withdrawing from northern Burma above Bhamo. I am going to try and encircle some of these units.
Hollianda
Our DDs attack an amphib TF. They don't do as much damage as I'd like. I figure they sank an AP damaged another and left 2 AKs on fire before this TF escaped.
Flying Fish shoots off about a dozen TTs at an AK. Only 2 go bomb and only 2 are duds. Her crew also miss when fireing their 3 in gun. They will return to base for more training.
Thats about it for now. For those who read I will be on vacation for a week and won't be playing so no turns. Some one try and keep me from page 3 or so.

Thanks Kurt: Love the Black widow. Looking at the business end of a P 40 is kinda scary.

Our troops are moving around. Will try and post a map later.
Goodenough Island
Koniu sweeps with Tojos and Georges. Koniu mentions in the email that he lost around 50 planes to my 20. Most of what I lost was P 40Ks (10) Spit Vc and F4U1 5 each.
The rest of the turn is quiet.

RE: Back in the saddle
Taung Gyi
I plan on encircling this base. I will send a small tank unit with some Inf BDEs behind this base. I will try and close off all the hex sides to this base and cut off the yellow road and supply to the units further up north.
Ramree Island
I am also pushing down the yellow road. I would like to launch an attack from the land side instead of an amphib op, but if I have to I will. I have a stack ready to move down the yellow road in the open hexs. I hope he will fall back when I start moving them behind his big stack. We will see what happens over here.
Solomons
Build up the island bases in prep for future operations.

Welcome home! [:)]
I like how New Guinea/Solomons looks! [:)] Where and what are you prepping for the future here? Finnschafen and/or Umboi Island is a crucial base and you should plan on taking one of them. But first Buka. Buke unlocks the whole region and allows you to move forward under heavy LBA.

RE: Back in the saddle
Hope your vacation was enjoyable. Welcome back. Your position looks admirable at present and look forward to you dismantling the empire.[;)]
RE: Back in the saddle
Thanks guys. Yes it was a good vacation. I have a pic to post later when I get a chance to DL my wifes pics.
Joc: "Buka" do you mean Buna". I have units prepping or prepped for alot of the important bases around NG and the Solomons.

Sweeps and refinery bombings at Magwee. I can't stop it from happening right now. Don't have the supply to base fighters here yet.
NG/Solomons
Units are prepping and being positioned along with ships and supplies. Just waiting to build up some bases for the push.

Whoops Buna I mean yes! [:)]
Make sure you are already prepping for the targets after Buna. I try to think where will be and what I want invade in 100 days. Always prepp more than you think you will need because you never know if your opponent reinforces. It sucks getting stalled somewhere and don´t have any reinforcements to send in. Because you will be LBA dependent you can´t really bypass any bases so if you get stuck at a base your whole advance gets stuck.
Good luck! [:)]

RE: Back in the saddle
Hansa Bay is an absolutely critical together with Manus. Hansa for the only lvl 9 AF on the coast and Manus for the only level 7 Harbour. Make sure you start planning for their capture. How much forces have you devoted to this advance?

Chinese troops enters Meiktila, the rest of the Allied units should be their in a day or 2. A Jap unit as appeared in the hex north of Taung Gyi. I will have to find out what it is. We will bomb the retreating troops around Bhamo.
NG
Judys attack my 2 DDs sailing back to MB. 21 Judys attacked and only 2 made it home. Good day for us. Our DDs still aren't out of danger yet. I see a 4 ship TF moaving towards them. I have set up a welcome party for them 46 SBDs with 46 fighters. I also have some Venturas on night attack.
Mostly messing with pilots and logistics.

RE: Back in the saddle
Question guys. I have never done a bombardment during the day. Its 10 hexs to the target. My ships can make 9 at night. So if I set them to bombard they will bombard during the day or just sit in the hex till the next night phase? Am I missing something?
RE: Back in the saddle
I would like some clarification as well, all I can find is 6.2.5 ie. TF will stand off until nightfall, run in at ful speed under cover of darkness, and run out again.
