SOUTHERN ARMY (Burma-Java-Ambon)

Enemy sitrep:
ALERT! enemy offensive in progress in NE India. Units are now heading toward Dacca.
ALERT2! enemy US 27th Division identified two hexes NE Dacca. Southern Army reserve force has been activated (17th ARMY - see below).
Withdrawal of all enemy aircraft in NE India (likely return in 48H).

INMON SAKUSEN:
Combined Fleet: fleet assets cover area SW Chittagong and SW Rangoon.
16th ARMY: in forward defensive positions with secure LOC to Chittagong. Mobile units (three tank regiments) have withdrawn to Dacca.
25th ARMY: all units are marching toward Palembang, where they will embark transports for Chittagong.
17th ARMY: RESERVE FORCE ACTIVATED: 10th Division will immediately embark transports (18knots) at Singapore and deploy via Chittagong to Comilla for defensive operations. 52nd and 53rd Divisions are at Nagoya.
15th Army is to invest and then capture Katka IOT establish a forward major airfield (5th Air Division). First bombardment of Katka will begin in 24H.

3rd & 5th Air Division: conducting air interdiction operation targeting enemy units in open terrain east of Dacca. No enemy fighters or AAA-units. However, bad weather prevented some flights and decreased effectiveness. 7th Australian Division was located in the same hex as the enemy tank units:

Enemy sitrep:
ALERT! ENEMY CARRIERS SPOTTED. 25TH ARMY TRANSPORTATION TF ATTACKED (see initial combat report in next post)

INMON SAKUSEN:
16th Army: Three divisions are in forward defensive positions with secure LOC to Chittagong.
25th Army: heavy losses due to air attacks (see next post). Army Commander will submit full damage report in 24-48H.

7th Armoured Brigade located by air recce, at 60,39 , near Imphal. Reacting to 4th Division's advance.
