Judging on the screenies from your frontlines I think Elmer is doing a fine job. The lines are cracked wide open in many places but the AI is still capable of putting a line of defense in the right places. Let's see what Moscow will do.
First of all thanks for posting. I was getting busy posting stuff and wondering if anybody was reading this thing. Um........I get the feeling
that there's these groups of enemy units that are triggered to attack me by my getting close to a trigger hex and then they spring into
action in attack mode and they don't fall back when it's advantageous to do so. And they are so determined to stay in attack mode that
I can put one of my units in their path so that they stop moving, literally they stand still while I maneuvor units into a surround pattern
and destroy the enemy unit(s). A human being would pull back and regroup etc. so it's not as fun as playing a human being but it'll do
for playtesting. So far the supply level is holding up in the high single digits in the further reaches of my front lines so it's just barely
adequate for moving and attacking. I'd say that the Axis side is performing like the scenario is balanced but I'll need to play it from the
Soviet side to see if it's possible for the Soviets to win too. And if they can then maybe this scenario is balanced. That's the goal.

Here's D-town now. I'm hoping I can trap all that Soviet stuff in the lower left with their backs to the river. If the crossing near
Kherson can be captured then I can trap that stuff but I'm guessing they will defend to their last bullet and it'll be a hard job to
try to crack their lines that way and trap them.

Ofcourse we're reading your AAR Larry, not many of those left these days, guess the heydays of TOAW are over. New kids on the block and all... WitE and Decisive Campaigns.
Granted an AAR versus an human opponent is more fun to read, still it's good to see the grey counters dash to Moscow once more. [:D] Or uhm the red counters do their rugged defense once more near the gates of Moscow.

Here's Moscow now. I'm kinda scared to stand up against the Soviet stacks because some of them pack a wallop and can cause my
dudes to retreat easily. So I've learned to stand off and not get into hexes that have three Soviet stacks adjacent to them.

Here's something you might find interesting: I dropped some paratroopers on that bridge connecting the lower part of Crimea w/ the
continent and I intend to drop some more on the gap to the west so I've got all the entrances covered. I don't know if it'll do any good
or win the game for me but I thought I'd try it anyway just to see what happened.

Here's the T36 front lines. I made a mistake w/ those paratroopers. They are already surrounded and being attacked.

I got lazy and instead of breaking down the paratrooper unit into 3 pieces and flying them separately.........I flew the unit as a whole.
And they landed on a Soviet unit and got shot down. D'oh.
