Problem Autorun, Game Manual, Windows 8, Adobe Reader

When I start to reader the game manual with the menu WitE if the default program for reading PDF files is the reader of Windows 8 it starts, instead if the default is adobe reader XI it does not start and no other pdf file starts . You can solve. The same problem I have with Battle from the Bulge, WitP.

I have the same problem, but there's an ... "approximate" fix (at least for me):
When I try to open the manuals, nothing happens. But when I open the Task Manager, the Adobe is working. I "kill" the process, and then I try to open the manual again from the game menu and it's working. I have Windows 8 x64 and using Adobe XI as a default .pdf viewer.
