Something I would like to see..

Post by Larsenex »

When in the diplomacy screen and making a deal, the AI is on left and I am on right. Many times there are 'bases' and 'stations' on the AI side up for sale as they are disputed.

One thing I would like to see if possible is to click on that base from that screen and have it go to where it is in the galaxy or at least show it on the mini map. Sometimes the bases might be in strategic places and I would want to buy it A) to remove the dispute and B)to get a base/station I might need later.

The way it is now is a bit tedious to see what he is talking about, search the map for that system and then find the base in question.

I would love to be able to just click or have an right click drop down, (go to base) option so I can see where this is

Oh and I need a Million credits button, bases and stations at 7 million each are pretty tedious at 100K clicks but still....

I completely agree with both these suggestions. They would cut down the frustration factor enormously.

Yeah, this would be a useful addition. This also goes for pirates when selling the locations of colonies and secret locations as well, we need an easier way to find the locations we are selling.

You can bring up the "ships and bases" menu without closing the diplomacy window. You can then search it by name pretty easily.

It's not ideal but it's the quickest way I have found to do it. Unfortunately there's a lot of factors that come into play when making the decision to let go of a mining station; location, resources, resource amount etc...

I agree with these suggestions. One other thing missing (rather obvious in my opinion) is the amount of money an AI has. A lot of times you are trying to sell something to the AI and you have to find out how much money you can "extract" from it by trial and error. It would help immensely if:

a) You know exactly how much money the AI has (you can already figure it out by a lot of trying so there is no reason not to show it)
b) You put an offer to the AI and the game lets you know how much that deal is worth in terms of credits so you don't have to keep trying to get an optimal deal or a deal AI will accept

Yes, it is very hard to find the location of, and the resources of the disputed mines, that the AI owns.
