If that is our game you are talking about, then remember, it ain't over till the fat lady sings [:)]

Have a look at the AAR me vs Colberki. The Germans/Austrians can withstand an awful lot of punishment before they collapse.
Now Maitland, now's your time!

It's amazing how research and the nature of offensive and defensive research builds etc play into this
Love the each nation has unique challenges and builds research
Like a well balanced chess Match
Been playing two person and what fun
Suggestions?
Remove the silly trains
Change subs to area attack
Using hex for naval odd
But really amazing

His central power mirror saw a lucky, sic, attack take paris in 14 before the french learned to dig.. darn anemic french forces in the start.. I never could quite get to Paris at Central, and me scrambling to avoid a french meltdown.. its bad and getting worse....

fun as you cannot predict the research or intent and there is now quick out when things go south..

You have to pace yourself with any action ... the WW1 aspect of digging in and suffering heavy casualties applies heavy. You get a few turns early in 1914 and maybe with minors where sweeping cavalry charges and such will apply. Aside that if an opponent is good, the only open fronts you'll usually ever see are the Middle Eastern or Eastern Russian Fronts!

Try to look at this as an extension of the Civil War with small war goals. Rather than massive ones... Like in the Civil War, big offensives that fail...cost the war... i.e. Antietam
