You'll need to provide a save file just before the battle that repeats the problem for anyone to be able to give you a definitive answer.

The general answer is that SU's attached directly to a unit will participate in battles for that unit, and SU's attached to HQ's might participate if they pass a number of different checks.

If it's a bug, I'm of course ok for the replay.

If it's only a bad dice roll, I will be happy with the current result.

Maybe it's the spirit of all the leaders that you killed through aircraft bombing (Guderian, Von Kleist..) ... they want their revenge!!

The result of this combat is not a good news but it's not a big deal.

My worries are about the next combats. I've attached 3 SU on almost my corps if I did that to have almost no SU engaged in the combats.

I want to replay to find the bug because I think there's one.

You can't replay battles in a server game. They are hard to use to troubleshoot problems. If you can duplicate the problem against the AI then someone can take a look at the save.

We can't give you an answer without a save and it's very hard to do that in a server game. I'd say go ahead and keep playing. Can't say if it's a bug or not. My suggestion was to play a game against the AI and try to duplicate the problem where you can refight the battles to see if the problem repeats.

Elmo,

Did you have the opportunity to practice the test?

There is a system limitation in the number of units that can participate in a combat. The system will try to involve all the on map units first, but as it approaches the limit, some support units may be left out. So what you're seeing is likely not a bug, but something we need to document.

Thx Joel to take time for a reply.

Could you be more precise about the limitation.

Because during my tests I tried to find out this number of units without reach a clear answer.
I think the size of the units, the number and size of units by HQ are determinants factors too.

I've been told the absolute max limit is 40, but this includes HQs as well as the actual fighting units. I've also been told it is possible the value in practice ican be somewhat lower than 40 given the way the system operates to limit the total.
