Yep, a bit scary in India. Bold and aggressive on his behalf but it binds him to India until it is taken. That means you will have opportunity elsewhere. He is overextended and sooner or later it will catch him.
I don't know if the extra captured fuel is that much of a bonus for him. His ships are burning up a lot in his operations, so I don't think it will effect the strategic balance too much. Keep your cool, keep your carriers and you will win. You know the drill....

The enemy is failing in gaining the air superiority over Bombay. The Tojos are achieving just a 1-1 kill ratio and the battles aren't bloody enough in order to drain my pools at any sufficient level.
The KB is finally spotted: COLOMBO! So he's probably bringing everything to the Bombay party. Naval bombardments and KB sweep.
The Force Z and the American CVs will get back in the shades. We have at least 2/3 days in advance in order to clear the indian waters. The XII Indian Corp is now fully unloaded at Karachi and the 70th British Division already left the town by rail and is estabilishing the advanced positions from where to start the counterattack.

Well, hard to say. At first we need to see what will he do with Bombay. He hasn't committed his full force yet. We have to see how the KB and the Yamato's group (4BBs+4CAs) will perform there. Secondly we need more units, especially minor ones. In India every potential counterattack needs to consolidate the supply lines first, and to do that you need a lot of garrisoning units (possibly at least battalion strong) in order to prevent any pesky para landing at your back.
The idea is to assemble an advancing army of 2000 AVs, composed of 4 Full Infantry Division and a Tank Division and to start advancing south from Karachi. I don't think the Japs can stand in clear terrain against this kind of forces (consider that we're talking about emergency reinforcement IDs, so equipped with 1943 tanks and squads). Another key factor will be the air superiority. I need to keep my Air Force alive in order to be able to do anything (need to cover my advancing units). That would be the hardest task...but I think it's doable.
The other, indirect, factor will be to keep high pressure on the other parts of the map. With the KB fully committed in India, the Pacific and the DEI should be undefended enough in order to let me gain local superiority even using small CVTFs

The land battle for Bombay has begun.
While the KB sprints from Colombo towards Scoodra, clearly trying to interdict my retreat to Cape Town, the enemy sends a series of big sweeps of Tojos over Bombay, achieving a good result (50 of my fighters for 18 of his own), and while the IJA divisions launched their first assault to my defences. 1-10 in terms of Odds, but forts are down to 5... I'm however still confident. This battle can be won IMHO.

One of many lessons I've learned the hard way is to have plenty of these in your spearheads once they get to the limit and beyond of LRCAP (4 or more hexes away from a base). Were you able to get the big AA Bde from Colombo safely back to India??

His two attacks at Bombay gave his force 20% casualties. He will have to rest for a while or bring in fresh troops.
Do you have engineers enough to rebuild the fort level in a few days? Bullwinkle did that at Singapore and drove his opponent crazy for a long time!

I know Micheal. Calcutta and Bombay are filled with AA guns... at Karachi I don't have that many, but I think I can bring them in in the next months.
I got one big 72 guns AA regiment from Colombo...the rest was left there.

The KB is surely drinking up lots of fuel. She started at Truk, sprinted towards Java, refuelled and then sprinted again towards Colombo, refuelled and then towards Socodra.
Judging from the pace she's keeping, I guess not less than 2 of these sprints have been done on full speed mode. This means a lot, cause the KB can easily drink 100k supplies in a week when moved around a lot, especially with full speed run.
The good part is that this may have been done for nothing... the KB hasn't caught my CVs, nor my other SAG and didn't arrive in time to stop the arrival of the XII Indian Corp from Aden.
Those ships are fragile...man, I know it,...and full speed runs can easily end up in 5/10 sys dmg. Also the more I have the KB under control, the more I can move around in other areas.
I wanna keep the KB busy. Now I think she'll remain in India...for the time being at least... but she'll cast shadows... while the Americans are ready to counterattack on the other side of the ocean.
As soon as the KB will leave to get to the Pacific once again, the 3 American CVs will get back, escorting more 100,00 men to India.

As you know a Big convoy with supplies was unloading at Cocos...right under his eyes... i knew the KB was away and at Java he had the mini-KB and some warships... wanted to lure him into a trap...
The RN is waiting west of Cocos...hidden...no detection... on the 29th i saw his CVLs coming from Batavia...so i moved in my 3 RN CVs, supported by the Hermes and by some CA/CLs....
Now i'm waiting for the turn...thrilling....

The ambush worked pretty well.
At night a CL TF intercepted the Japanese CVTF (2 Junyos + 1 CS and the Yamato!) but didn't manage to get close enough with the Yamato screening from 30,000 yards...
When the day arrived, the morning was hazy...and the japanese carriers managed to strike a couple of bombs on my CLs...without any real effetc... then, in the afternoon, the japanese attacked my RNCVs, while the weather got better.... our Martlets and SeaHurricanes did well and distruped the raid enough to prevent any bomb to fall on my CVs... then it was our turn... 52 torpedo bombers, escorted by 20 Fulmars... 4 torps on the Junyo, with 2 Ammo Storage explosions...and two more hits on the Yamato (hopefully enough to send her to the yards for a long time).
I think the Junyo is a gooner... now it's subs time...let's hope the can score some hits as the enemy retreats...

I am playing MrKane as the Japanese against his allies and he definitely is beating me ... I havent crashed the Japanese economy yet and I do have some things going for me. But its almost July 1942 and I am behind on the conquests by far. I do have the advantage of having caught him napping in Ceylon where I sank a carrier in port (game claims it was an American CV but I am pretty sure it was British) and I caught all of the British reinforcement battleships at sea with the KB but have no confirmation of them sinking (45 hits on one and no sinking stupid Val bombs) and I just got a US carrier for the loss of one of the mini KB light carriers.
He will forget to check some things (dont we all) but he does get turns around extremely fast. I feel like I am the slow one and we usually can get at minimum 2 turns a day.
