Not the best questioning in the world.

I hope modding opens up the mechanics like diplomatic factors, economy, alien unrest, character stats, reputation, resources.I think a opened up DW to say spaceempires4 level modding could make it last 20 years.

Agreed. Too rambling and unfocussed chatting. Couple of blokes sitting down for a pint, more than an interview to get some insight into the game.

While I haven't listened to it yet, remember SGJ is a one-man blog site done by a sci-fi gamer. I wouldn't expect him to drill too deeply into questions.

I agree, they could have asked more about Elliot's background, design challenges in DW, what they think they could improve next in the franchise, etc. Still good to hear a conversation with both Elliot and Erik together!

It was a good find, Webbco! I was very interested in Erik's discussion on Matrix philosophy and business approach to game acquisition marketing. It helps to allow Elliot's creative juices to continue flowing.

I'm sorry our questions didn't live up to whatever standards you have for a podcast. ;) I hope you enjoyed it regardless. ;)

This was actually one of our most focused podcasts. ;)

Wouldn't worry Veloxi I don't think either of them 2 have ever said a good word about anything.
It was pretty good, I'd of liked more probing of stuff like where the designs of the aliens evolved from and which parts of the game came in what order, like what came in late and still changed the game for the better, but that's personal taste. I learned a thing or two though :)
And who was it in the podcast thought it would be a terrible system to have a graveyard and world destroyer in their starting system? [8|][:D] Erik and Elliot were too embarrassed to correct you!
