The object was captured - but no recognition

Post by Templer_12 »

Highway to the Reich
Joe's Bridge
Version 4.5.264

What have I overlooked?
The Germans hold for more than 20 hours continuously the object 'Joe's bridge' but neither increases the rate of occupation or for completion?

By the way, if I'm conquer in the scenario the object 'De Groote Barrier', the recognition is denied to me also.

seems all points are given at the end of the scenario..it's a hold at end of scenario objective..so whoever controls them by the end will get all the points..

As wodin says, Completion VP's are awarded at the end of the scenario, Occupation VP's are proportional to the amount of time the objective was hold divided by the time span of the objective (i.e. you get 1/3 of the VP's for holding an objective during two hours, if the objective is active during six hours).

It says Occupation 0.0/0.0 for this objective.

That means you will only get points for holding it at the end on the scenario, just as the other two have said.
Even if you hold this objective for the entire game, but lose it at the very last moment, you will get no points for it.

I don't really understand it.
The occupation of La Colonie counts.

Can you give me a reference in the manual for this?

Templer there are occupy and gain points objectives and objectives that just need to be controlled at the end of the scenario..all you have to do is see if there is any number in the Occupation box..if not then it will be completion only..some however like La Colonie award a set amount of points for Occupation and another set for Completion (i.e end of scenario).

Look at Joes bridge and De Groote..neither have any points mentioned in the Occupation box 0.0/0.0..this means you aren't awarded points for Occupation.

One thing I do at the start of a scenario is check the occupying objectives and the times they go live and turn off..this is my big pointer in my plan and where I should be aiming..the Completion Only Objectives I know I have time to get to them (well not under strict time restraints, as long as I have control at the end I get the points). Also remember you only need 100 points and many scenarios have alot more than than on offer...
