Shadows save game compatibility

Just wondering if Shadows has save game compatibility for the older versions.

I've been playing one Shadows game through all the patches from the beginning and there's been no problems.

To be clear, these save games are from Legends

Are you trying to import a Legends save into Shadows? Sadly, I don't think that's possible, considering the changes to pirates, among other things.

I've not tried importing a Legends save though. I've played only Shadows and all the save games have so far been compatible with all the Shadows patches from the beginning.

EDIT: OK. Your last post popped up as I posted too. As mentioned, I don't think it's possible to import from Legends.

Well that sucks. Looks like I will be reloading Legends for the time being

Antiscamp is correct. Legends version savegames will not work with the Shadows expansions. [:(]

I don't know why I thought the Legends saves would be compatible. The easiest way around this will be to install another copy of Legends on my rig and go from there. Thanks for the help gentlemen [8D]

That's correct, Legends save files will not work with Shadows, they are just too different. Shadows so far has compatibility with save files from the release version through all the updates though.
