Too... hot... to... stop... Faber...
Indeed, after a week of sweltering weather we are dipping down to merely 85F with 80% humidity. [8|]

I recommend several turns of AE to distract you from the heat.

Nice ones!

BTW, the guide / pro is at the back of the boat (on rudder)?

Leo "Apollo11"
Thank you. And Happy Birthday !!

Yes. The guide is at the back with the directing oars. The rest of us have paddles and we furiously dig in to the guide's commands; 'river right!!', 'river left!!', 'both speed!!'. I think a lot of that is more to make us feel useful and put our attention on the river, than to have us do anything truly necessary, but what the hey!!

Funny thing is we weren't secured to the raft. We sat on the tubes and maybe had a strap to hook our feet under, but we were 'free floating'. If you overbalance, and some did, the raft will snag you or one of the backup kayaks will. The backup kayaks were sweet. We had maybe 3 Olympic Medalists, 4 National Champions, and a ton of serious good gonnabe's. My raft lost a girl right behind me, but Laurence just hit reverse on the oars, and we grabbed her and swung her back on board. One other raft lost a paddler in a chute and he got grabbed by a kayak and put back aboard and they were good to go for the next section.

The kayakers were spectacular. We would "river out' in an eddy to have lunch, and watch those folks go crazy on a chute. They would paddle to the top, then do a 360 roll, fall down the stream, and do it again. And they were right nice folks, too. Jessie (US Bronze) did a yoga sun salutation every morning. Them of us who weren't yoga people tried it and became believers. I still do a sunrise salutation on occasion; makes me feel good and appreciate the color and texture of the clouds that are going to rain on me.

Bottom line, if you ever, ever, want to take a rafting trip, you need to talk to BioBio Expeditions. http://www.bbxrafting.com/

Do I really need to read this thread for complete understanding of WitP AE?

Hectic life you lead there, Brother...
Not too hectic. I've been at it over a year. [:D]

That's my natural home improvement pace, thankfully accelerated by having a wife around the house. [:D]
