You know they cannot simply go one hex east, right? The hex side is red, meaning the Japanese control it. The vector for the unit is SE so it must go down into the jungle/rough and then back up to the target hex. It will take between two and four weeks, in malaria infested jungle with no support. The enemy can block the move just by having one unit go east one hex. The raiders can still go into the hex, but unless they defeat the enemy they will not own the hex and block supply.

Now that I look at it, I think you are right BBfanboy, but we need to have them do it and since they have no gun tubes they are not contributing to the existing conditions. We should have moved them out when the SNLF moved over the Stanley range from Buna. I saw it, but didn't think about what they were doing until it was over. So, the marines have to slog through the jungle to make it work...
More Japanese capital ships appear in the Coral Sea headed SW. I don't see any more transports that weren't there before. The ones there are headed NE anyways...could be wrong.
The enemy CV present is wounded..but there could be another one there that wasn't touched two turns ago by our dive bombers.
If Port Moresby is their target, we only have air assets to counter with. Our sea assets at Towsnville have retired to Brisbane for refit, leaving only two old BBs, a couple of CA/CLs, and a few DDs. They could turn around if this is an opportunity... (Harvey, feel free to turn them around if you see this as an opportunity)
Aus and Canberra are positioning themselves to be able to react to in invasion of Rennel Isl if the CV leaves the area. If not, they'll remain in the area on alert. Louisville is NW of Noumea headed that way with two escorts.
Finally secured three FGs between Noumea and Louganville. Sent one arine DB group to Louganville...they're Vindicators, though.

RO-60 attacks the resource CS convoy out of Noumea and is driven off by the xAKL due to damage. Nothing specified, just “due to damage”.
RO-62 encounters the DDs escorting the cruisers around Ndeni (why are they still here? I ordered them to withdraw to Luganville under fighter cover!) The Sub takes two hits.
RO-62 takes 2 hits from DD Conyngham at Ndeni.

Vindicators from Luganville attack the CVTF that the Zeros and Kates came from. The Wildcat escorts did not go with them… Eighteen Zeros were waiting on them. Seven Vindicators were destroyed. The CAP aircraft came from Ryujo-1 (12 Zeros) and Kaga-1 (6 Zeros), and with the number of aircraft seen today (36 Zeros, 20 Kates), 56 total, is more than the Ryujo can carry (48 capacity +10% = 53). There might be another there like the Hosho (20 capacity) or they went with a penalty to get that many aircraft on her, which I doubt.
Land action:
Deliberate Attack at Battan, forts reduced to 2, at 1:2 odds. Defender bonuses are Forts, Terrain, and Leaders. Minuses are supply. Japan takes 4k casualties and the stalwart defenders of Bataan take just over 1k. We have a lot of squads disabled that won’t go back online due to supply and might as well be KIAs.
Deliberate Attack at Batavia, forts reduced to 2, at 2:1 odds. Defender bonuses are Forts, and Terrain. Minuses are experience. Japan takes 550 casualties and the Dutch take just over 1k in casualties, with 120 squads disabled and one unit destroyed. Allied bombardment attack does nothing to either side. Batavia holds, for now…
Bombardment Attack at PM yields more supplies expended by both sides with some permanent damage on the Aussies (3 squads).

I-168? Is sighted and very successfully prosecuted by the APD Manley at Pago Pago, underwater explosion, debris, and oil appear on surface. Knowing how these boats don’t take damage well, I would count it as a kill or at least a mission kill.
Another I boat or the same one as above is prosecuted by AM Vireo, but nothing done to the target. AM Grebe has another attack later in the day.
Dolphin is experiencing some flotation difficulty on patrol off of the north coast of NE New Guinea, need to check on her.

B-17s follow up two sweeps at Lae and disable some squads in two raids. They also do 11 airbase, 4 airbase supply, and 33 runway hits. Nice combo going there Harvey! Keep it up as much as you can. The numbers on the B-17s have started going down and you may not be able to keep this pace up without a rest, but we are getting great results from it!
P400s attack shipping at Buna, one Zero rises to defend which downs one P-400, but the rest sink 8 LBs. Nice day for the P-400s!
PM Air:
Nanyang is bombed by Sallys giving 2 Airbase and 7 runway hits.
P-400s attack shipping near Lae, 5 Zeros defend, the P-400s lose one, but kill 2 Zeros and put a Bomb on an xAKL setting it a fire. Should be enough to sink her or at least put her out of the war for quite a while with no repair facilities nearby.
Ground Combat:
Nanyang is bombarded. They have 2056 AV vs. our 673 in forts. 77 casualties lost to the bombardment. Five brigades, two Divisions, four artillery units, 1st Army HQ, an Engineer unit, and one road construction are participating.
Buitenzorg is attacked and captured by overwhelming forces. All units are either destroyed or surrender.
Bombardment at Bataan yields small numbers for the Japanese.
Bombardment at PM hurts a little. We take 136 casualties for 53 for them. They must have supply open over the range. The unit we have moving into that hex will take care of that. Maybe we need to stop bombardments until then or we can get more BBs on target?

TF 372 is loading up 72850 in supplies for Sydney. Set to route through Pearl Harbor and refuel and around the point of Pago Pago to get to Sydney. Set for a CS convoy, so it should be automatic, every 60 days.

Stopped building Airfields at San Diego. They are at 7. Once the port is maxed out at 9, will move the engineers there to other inland bases to build Airfields there. I think we are going to need them!

Formed up an ASWTF at Pago Pago with APDs with 6 ASW each. Left it there to prosecute any subs at Pago Pago. Make it very uncomfortable for the japs to be here.
Stockpiling the Mk6 mine which just started producing this turn. Going to make the mining of Pago Pago a high priority to also keep the subs away. We have the capability of placine a months worth of Mk6 production (35) in one day with the ships we have in port there (an ACM, and two DMs)
Sent two APDs as a Fast Transport Mission to pick up the A Det Port Svc unit on Penrhyn Island. These are valuable units. Will take it to Ndeni to help unload things there to build it up better.
Canberra is making good progress towards Pearl. She is 7-8 days out.
xAK TF near Tabiteuea, sending three of the DDs from Ndeni to check it out. With the unload bonus gone, it will take more than one day to unload anything, maybe they can catch them unloading and get some target practice in.
Splitting two DDs off of escort duty to join up with SCTF at Ndeni. It will take a couple of days to get there, but they will help make up for the three being sent to check out Tabiteuea.
ANZAC:
Formed up CLs Detroit and St. Louis along with DD Selfridge to join the SCTF at Ndeni to beef it up even more. Replacing the Detroit’s Captain with OD Waters, who is a better naval leader with better stats all around. Not the best, but much better! 5 PPs for that.
Can’t take CA Vincennes to readiness as she is getting an upgrade at the same time as repairs. She will come to portside in three days when the Nevada gets to Sydney and then when the upgrade time is done, she will go to Pearl to finish the repairs. Wish we could expand repair facilities like Japan can…
Harvey, CL Trenton and 2xDDs are ready at Melbourne. Do you need them on the West coast of Australia? If not, we can use more surface assets in the SOPAC as the Japanese are getting “frisky” there!
Pennsylvania will probably have to go back to Pearl also, but she doesn’t have any engine damage so should be able to make good speed.
CHINA:
AVG/1st Sqn transfers to Calcutta and is ready to take on replacements. They have 18 airframes and need 9 more which should take 10-11 days. Set to standard training regimen in the meantime.
DMS Hovey gets torps launched at it at Pago Pago, and prosecutes offending submarine. Both missed.
KXV is hit once by DC near Malacca.

Another YMS arrives in Stockton. Going to form it up with five others to start “Local Minesweeping” ASW patrols outside of San Francisco.
256th USAAF BF arrives at Santa Barbara, set it to expand Santa Barbara’s airfields.
AMC Monowai and AG Regulus are being escorted from San Diego to San Francisco for use out of there.
We have four F-4 air frames in a training unit in Spokane, but no other aircraft to “upgrade” the unit to so we can release those airframes for front line use. Will keep an eye on that, as the F-4s are going to be a rare commodity until they go into production in September.
CANAL ZONE:
Combined the fast tanker and AKs at Balboa, finishing up fuel load and then off to Pago Pago for deposit of 12k of supplies and fuel, then back to CONUS for use there.
NOPAC:
802nd EAB will be arriving in Dutch tomorrow. The TF that loaded it will go to Nome to get the 108th USN BF there and take it to Dutch also. Our airfield production rate has increased from 2% every three days to 2% a day. Another month and Dutch Harbor will have a level 1 airfield! Then, hopefully, the next couple of levels will go quicker. Once it gets to level 1, we need to move some of the engineers to Cold Bay and build it up to level 4 at least, if not level 5.
CENTPAC:

SOPAC:
Dispatched two smaller xAPs to pick up the 135th BF at Penrhyn Island. It has no airfield and the Vs can be used elsewhere.
The DDs checking out Tabiteuea should be there tonight or tomorrow depending on how the commander approaches the island. Would be nice to catch some more cargo ships without escorts again! <evil grin>
Looking at what is gathering at Tulagi and the fact that Shortlands can hold torpedo bombers, but that we can get within seven hexes (SBD range) of Tulagi and stay outside of thirteen hexes from Tulagi gives me great hope for a nice raid by the Big E in about a week’s time.
ANZAC:
111th BF has docked at Brisbane and is unloading. There are some motorized support units for it about five days behind it. Harvey, not sure if you want to wait for the support units now or let them catch up to where you need your radar equipped unit. This is the one you asked for a game week back or so.
Looking at CL Leander (HMNZS), she has lost two of her LS 4in/45 QF MA Mk XVI guns. Looking at our pools of devices and production of devices it doesn’t look like we have any or will be getting any of these guns to replace the destroyed ones. Not sure what we are going to do. I guess let us let her get fixed and see what happens.
Routed the Trenton and her two DDs towards Ndeni.
The four other upgraded BBs will be arriving at Townsville tomorrow. Harvey, you can send the Pennsylvania and Arizona back with the two DMs escorting these BBs. I suggest back to Pearl Harbor as the Pennsylvania will need major work. The Arizona and the Pennsylvania can only be upgraded at Pearl Harbor, Sydney is too small.
CHINA:
Set HQs that were at Nanyang for other bases and moved them out of the woods to the rear away from where they are.
Moved 12th Corp from the retreat location to the rough terrain just NE of Nanyang. Hopefully they will make it there before the Japanese move into their hex and be a thorn in the side of them and force them to expend time and resources to dislodge them.
