Newbie looking for trouble

Post by Fredflak »

Hi,
I'm looking for someone to try and play a pbem game. I'm open to all scenarios, heck i'm even willing to play the french. ;) I played the first Steel Panther game a lot and that's about my experience with the game. I played some scenarios with this version of course. But I only got it recently since I didn't have a good enough net connection to download it all.

So, if anybody is looking for someone to beat up, i'm here for that. I don't mind playing against an experienced opponent or another newbie. So just reply here or email me at frederic.levesque@sympatico.ca

And from what i've been reading on the forum for some time now I think i'll show my colors right from the start, Katz are the best!:D

Alright,
I've set it up, hopefully it wont be too easy for you to smash. ;) Will work hard to give you a challenge. The setting of the game is a SS advance somewhere in Russia.

Since this is my first time playing a pbem, don't be afraid to tell me if I screwed up setting it up or during the game. Thanks for the quick reply btw, unfortunatly you wont have Katz to kill this time hehe. :D

Oh and we can use the AAR forum while we play too, so we can keep a documentation of how to tear apart a new guy.

Fred,

I just looked it over..a couple points.

1. You set the battle up as a Russian delay? That means I own all or most of the VHs right off the bat.
2. With 6500 points and a small map and a delay for me..I would crush you.
3. Now did you have that in mind? ;)
4. You should go with a med map IMHO

so, you want to re-setup or should we go with this one?

Just helping out :D

Ah, didn't notice the small map. Will make this an advance for both side too, you're right about that. Alright, this should work now. Let's give this a try.

Thanks for the tips. :D

Alright, posted the first turn in the AAR forum. You can find it there, and we'll use that forum from now on. :)

Good luck.

Fred, set something up - if you want Katz try late war (1944+) Brit vs Ger - the size/pts of the one you are playing with M4 sound ok to me!!!

10% arty
2 airunits
no prebought mines

I have slot 7 free at the mo - and 1-4 inclusive.

Alright, you're on RobW.
Will set it all up when I get home from work today. Any weather or visibility condition suggestions? Or we keep it random? Also do you have any months of the year you want more?

Alright,
Here's the file. You can start an AAR/DAR topic for the game when you post your setup.

Good luck.

Oh I don't have any favorites yet really. And well since i'm playing germans in my two other games it could be nice to play something else. You just set something up like you want it, with the classic of 6500 pts and 10% arty. And give me any nation beside Germans. :)

I forgot to say that slot 7 and 10 are taken for me, so any other is good.
