Japanese opponent wanted

Post by IronDuke_slith »

Played a bit of WITP a few years back but first time with AE.

Want to play as Allied as I suspect I'll have more scope for making the odd mistake early on as I get up to speed again.

I have installed the beta.

Would like to play a full campaign scenario, either the 7th or 8th December start (but open to any suggestions):

1 day turns
Unreliable Allied torps
Allied damage control on
Realistic weather
realistic R&D
Surprise on
Player defined upgrades on
All auto bases building, auto replacements and auto upgrades off from the start
Auto sub ops off

open to any reasonable house rules if they are seeking to restrain gamey stuff.

Thanks and regards,
ID

EDIT: Based in United kingdom

If you are the IronDuke whose well-reasoned comments RE: WitW I've read, you'll provide someone a good (scary) opponent.
(I think that was the name...?)

Thanks, Jeff, that was me. I'm hoping I get proved wrong as I'd like to play it and enjoy it, but it should at least test out a number of enhancements for a WITE2 or the mooted Monster game even if my worst fears are realised. I still have faith, though, to be fair to 2by3, they usually make outstanding games.

Kind regards,
John.

It's only a game when you buy it, then it is an obsession. [;)]

If you still are looking for an opponent, I can do the Japanese side - or rather try (first time).
