Hi all,
[:-]
[8D]
Luckily after tomorrow I will go to vacation (Dubrovnik)... the only problem is that temperatures are still around +40 degrees Centigrade and coupled with scorching sun... Meteo office people say that big (temporary) change will happen tonight / tomorrow with temperatures dropping by 20 degrees centigrade...

RE: THE THREAD!!!
Wasn't Dubrovnik largely destroyed during the civil war? Is it mostly new buildings?

I suppose I should have used a pseudonym. Maybe the next one will be "by NO".

RE: THE THREAD!!!
Hi all,
Dubrovnik was not destroyed per se - but many buildings inside the city were burned and / or damaged from Serbian Montenergo forces... [:(]

Luckily old medieval stone walls and houses are very resiliant! [:)]
BTW, we don't call it civil war because it was not - it was war of aggression by Serbia / Montenegro against Croatia (and Slovenia and Bosnia and Kosovo) where once federal military force ("JNA" = "Yugoslav National Army") devoid of other nationalities except Serbs / Montenegrins attacked other nations in other republics. It is often forgotten that former Yugoslavia was federal republic consisting of 6 republics + 2 autonomous regions - all these had their own statehood and constitution much like states in America create USA. The civil war by definition is war where people living in same area fight each other - in our case mobilized Serbs / Montenegrins attacked other people's land (for example soldier mobilized in Belgrade in Serbia or Podgorica in Montenegro attacking Dubrovnik - it was long long way from home for them)... but here I regress into politics...
You were in Kosovo with UN as I recall Kristian?

RE: THE THREAD!!!
Well, yeah. I thought of it in terms of a Yugoslavian civil war. It turned into three or four seperate wars.
