This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

Casualty Figures

Post by PUBAR »

when I looked at the casualties from the tool bar, it displayed them as dead/surrendered/disabled they totalled 587,000+. However when I looked at the events log for casualties, it showed none surrendering, but the figures were nearly one million men??? How is it possible to have such contradictory figures? No matter what the format at the end of the day the losses are surely the losses? Which is right or what am I doing wrong?
Whilst I,m on if I save a game (as the Soviet)with all movement etc done and only requiring the "end turn move" to be pressed. I then press end turn move and save it separate to the one with just the movement etc done. Will I cause any problems? I ask because whilst waiting for opponents reply this way will give me a chance to study production/CR/ etc till I get a reply, at my leisure.

Event log surrender figure is for surrenders happening in the logistic phase - those are very rare. Most surrender losses you will see in the losses screen are mixed into combat/retreat/attrition in the event log.
