Home Island Fuel Apportionment Anomially

Post by Capt Cliff »

I recently noticed that the port of Ominato at the northern tip of the the main home island has a lot of fuel. About 50k worth of fuel is just sitting there. I am not stockpiling it, but I am using this port to unload resources from Sapporo. Poor Tokyo is live from hand to mouth. I need a better way to apportion resources.

Tokyo is already set to stockpile fuel. That same thing happens in India everything flows to Madras!

I am still having a problem with Ominato hording fuel!! Why does Ominato have a demand of 22,000 fuel units when it has no industry?? Is it a function of how many TF's use it as a home port?? Tokyo is now almost out of fuel but 60k sits in Ominato. Can this be adjusted or fixed?? Oh, I set all cities on the main island to minimum and Tokyo to max.

I bet if you click the "Show TFs Based here" button in the bottom right, you'll find that you have TFs creating that 22k demand.

If you base the TFs at Hakodate instead (assuming they are Hokkaido CS convoys), Ominato won't draw the fuel.

Also, if you're in 43 and having fuel shortages in the HI this is the least of your worries.

Get some tankers to the DEI and get more fuel/oil back quickly!

Yes, that was the problem. Thank you.

An what the fn hell does your critique of my game play have to do with my question?? Egomaniac fn troll that you are! Get a life fool!! If you are able to keep the Japanese well stocked in fuel through out the war then you are gaming the system or the game is not properly modeled or both.

Capt Cliff,

Lokasenna gave you a solution that will probably last you for a few weeks given your current situation. Obvert gave you a solution that could last for as long as you still have tankers and oilers left. He wasn't being a troll, nor was he being overly critical of your game play. He was, however, giving you good advice. His post was a fairly polite way to address your real in-game issue, not just the short term one that Lokasenna solved. Many others on the forum could have told you the same thing in more or less the same language.

What a lovely way of dealing with friendly advice. But coming from you I guess its to be expected. [8|]

Btw, obvert is absolutely right. If you can´t get enough fuel to Japan in mid 43 you are doing something wrong. But I guess it feels better to lash out against others then dealing with your own failures...

Have a nice day.

Obvert is right. You might be in trouble if you do not remedy the situation by importing more fuel/oil.

+1

Predictable result both in OP reaction to advice and the current results OP is experiencing. <pass the soda please>

I am just very selective where I post and to whom .. many here I have blocked because they offer me no redeeming value ...The lack of connection from a people standpoint enables people to expose their true a&&hole personalities [8|]
