Well, Jeffk3510 liked the paella recipe, so here's another one. Homemade, honest to gosh chicken teriyaki, with sesame asparagus. From a recipe by Marc Matsumoto at Noh Recipes. http://norecipes.com/blog/teriyaki-chicken-recipe/

Did this once before and it was fabulous. Will do pictures as I go along. Learned a few things from Marc about asparagus, too. And shredded green onions, yum![;)]

Step one is get yourself some cheap old chicken thighs. I got some day old from Winn Dixie, 4 pieces for $1.92 a pound. Day old actually is tastier. So you have to filet it. If you have a good knife, it's easy; forget the bones. Then grate a tbs of fresh ginger, stir in a bit of oil (olive) and some garlic; rub that on the chicken. You habe to rub it. You can't just stick it into a bowl and think you are done. You have to touch the food and and rub it with your hands and let your karma seep into your ingredients.

Okay, so a tbs of lemon juice will help that out a bit. So rub it. Rub it like it was a young girls belly. Rub it lovingly; and then set aside for about an hour.

Ciao. J

Whatever worked for you in preseason, use it in the regular season. Because everyone knows that whatever happens in the preseason happens in the regular season as well...

Ummm, wy did the boiler lose its water level?

Lots going out as steam, not as much going in as feed...................

that usually does it[:D]
(nobody topping up the De aerator I suspect, fast asleep)

Funny note. That night our CPO shipwright was standing on Mount 52 deck, talking to the wife on one of (at that moment) one of the only 3 mobile phones onboard

"Hello wife, whats the problem?"
"well......."
"hang on, the boiler is exploding.........."

"What, whats exploding, hello, hello?"

(Shipwright diving for cover as a furnace full of brickwork rains down from above)

two minutes later:
"Duty officer, maritime Headquarters, may I help you?"
"yes, yes, HMAS Perth has just exploded.............."

Cue, large wailing and gnashing of teeth.........................

Goodnight from Aussie land.
big seas, fast ships, life tastes better with salt

Visiting CV-10 this weekend. Couldn't help but think of a few questions to ask while looking at Google Earth of Patriot's Point in Charleston, SC and seeing the angled deck of messing up the WWII lines of an Essex class carrier: When was the angled deck conversion available? What size shipyard is needed for the conversion? How long did it take?

I think the game is finally starting to take a hold of me... Not a bad thing, mind you...

It will be cool to do a couple turns on her deck this weekend! [:D]

Back from class. Morning all.
Had a golf tourney on Saturday. Hot, muggy and windy. Across the road a wheat field was being combined. So add chaff to the sweat. 95F. with a 71% dew point.

Just a good greeting will do fine. These are not the correct spellings but try this.

Yuksomosh: basically hello, how are you.

The reply.

Dobrae: basically I'm fine.

Find out where is from in Czechoslovakia. And go from there.

I'm fourth gerneration and that is about all I know. My aunts know Bohemian but don't use it much and forgotten most of the language. Really haven't heard it much since I was a kid and also have forgotten most of what I knew. Dad and my grandparents are gone now, they used to converse quite a bit. There some north of here that still speak it quite well.
He's from ourside Brno. It blew hin away when I said hi in Czech. He has some German, as do I, and some Russian, as do I, so we went off to a corner and nattered at one another. All I wanted was to have the Jeep detailed and waxed. Instead, I found a friend. Thanks Schanilec. JWE
Good to hear. Did some counting I'm third generation Bohemian. Family is originally from Pisek, about 70-80 miles south sothwest fo Prague.
