Just wondering aloud

You know, that one real thing that has always bugged me about UV is the ships don't have "USS" or "HMAS" in front of their names. How hard would it be to do this for WiTP, considering that we will also now have ships from France, Germany (or at least should have ships from Germany, the commerce raiders in the eastern part of the Indian Ocean), British and Dutch as well as (some) Canadian and Soviet ships.
Thoughts anyone?

If I understand correctly it's already in the DB just not displayed. I don't know how this will work out, but it may be important for support purposes. We're still at Alpha though.

And I don't think that Drongo would be any good with Passion play, but he does now live in an area that suits songs from the woods, but the way he is squawking you'd think he was thick as a brick;)

Drongo, if you're thinking of the character from Beverly Hillbillies played by Max Baer, Jr., the name was Jethro Bodine, not Jethro Clampett.

(mumble, grumble, these southern hemisphere smarties who think they know somethin' about American TV ... just wait till after we're done with Iraq and North Korea and whoever else looks up George Dubya's kilt, we'll see how much of Melbourne we can light up with some of them leftover fuel-air munitions ...)

FYI, several German U-boats were stationed in Indonesia 1943-45 and operated in the Indian Ocean. German commerce raiders operated in the Indian as well as the Pacific Ocean from 1940 to 1943.

I think the 'prefix' DKM or KM for ship names is an invention for wargame purposes. KM is indeed used as abbrevation for Kriegsmarine, but I have never seen it used in connection with ship names IRL. Nobody says 'In 1941 KM Bismarck was sunk...' - it is just 'Bismarck'. But you will find 'In 1942 USS Houston was sunk...' in the history books.
