OK, f10 does work, but how do I get the picture over here? Yes, I did right click the on file SS, hit copy, yet I cannot post it here. Is there something I am not getting right? Understand I am experimenting, please be patient with this novice! One other thing; noticed how Surpass uses 2 or 3 SSs in the same post. How is that done?
The Matrix forum upload window shows the files that it will accept :
Max. 5,000KB;
gif/txt/jpg/zip are supported
You have a tick box in 'Fraps' to select how files will be saved (.bmp/.jpg, etc.), from the list above you need to ensure 'Fraps' is saving SSs as .jpg (so check the .jpg box in 'Fraps' Screenshot display).
The size of the SS file has to be 5,000KB, or less, so the files have to be compressed if above that size. My way out is to open the chosen SS in 'Windows Photo Viewer' (other compression software I had did not compress enough), select 'Email' in the top toolbar (select the size of attachment you want), it presents me with the SS as a reduced size attachment in a blank Email form, I just drag that attachment out of the Email, on to the Desktop and it's ready to be used as an attachment for the Matrix Forum. There are other ways to compress SS files if they are too big for the forum, but this is what I am using and the features are already in Windows 7.
You are not short of advice, Kirk23 has more images posted than you could find in the Sistine Chapel, pick the solution that suits you best.
Look at the bottom of the Matrix forum message window, tick box 'Embed picture...', 'Click here to upload' then 'choose file' to go to where you have placed your chosen SS (desktop is easy to store SS until needed, but it can be in any folder). The image should drop into the message text at the position where you left the cursor, before you 'Embed ......', etc., after choosing a file I think you get an 'Upload More Files' option for more images.
You won't see an embedded SS in the message 'Preview' as it doesn't show images, but it should be in the forum post when you have submitted it.
We all had to start somewhere, when you have get it working, you will wonder what the fuss was about. [:)]
