Pilots Not Training!!!

Post by santino250 »

Hi All,

I am late in 44, and my pilots are not training properly!!! And I can't find out what the problem Is??
I've tried putting better group leaders in, and very little difference... Some groups have been training for well over 1 YEAR!!!

Can't figure out what I am doing wrong.... Some have taken since the begining of the game

I am playing with the latest patch... I think it is IRONMAN game....

Can someone look to see if I'm doing something wrong or is it something with the game???

Thanks

Santino

I assume you are playing as the Allies, since that was the side that came up when I opened the save. I only looked at your groups training in Pearl Harbor, but every one of them looks like it's behaving like it's supposed to. What specifically are you seeing wrong, or having problems with? You have a bunch of very well trained pilots in some groups at Pearl, and in your lower experience groups most of the pilots look to be gaining experience and skills normally.

(If you already know this, then I apologize, but pilots will generally not go too much higher than 70 experience just through training, and the more experienced they get the slower they'll continue to learn. Training is a shallow curve at the beginning with lots of progress, and a very steep curve at the end with very little progress. You have a number of 75+ experience pilots training at Pearl. You could leave them on training for another year and probably still not see much additional progress. At some point, they need to see real action to get better.)

^^ This ^^.

Pilots will only maximally "train" a specific skill up to the mid to high 60s, to low 70s, and no higher. To get higher numbers, they must see some action.
As Quixote mentioned, more specific information about what is troubling you would be very helpful.

Hello

Thanks for the reply...

At some bases pilots seem to train fine... but at bases in the interior of the USA, or even Los Angeles I have had some bomber pilots there for over 6 months, and some years...

Some of My bombers are training for Airport at 10k altitude at 100% ...

I have put in better squad leaders, but am not sure what influence their home base is.. and I always train specific tasks... I will look to get a specific group ....

Thanks again

Hi All

One of the bases is Eastern USA.... Granted at this base I have way to many planes, but anyway....

I have been training VMF-541 F6F-5N night fighters.... for a long time

I have been training them in sweeping at 100 ft at 100% to no avail... very slow..... at Night....

and many more like them....

I just updated to the newest beta....

And plenty of supplies....

I've noticed even night fighters won't train well at night. If these are the ones you're having problems with train them in the day and they should be fine. Weird, but that's what i've seen.
