Time to bull-doze that mailbox.

That has a certain primoridal appeal but how does that help me get even with the guy who stole the pears? I doubt it was the property manager at the investment company. [:)]

I'm thinking I tape some fake apples to an oak tree or something and bury some bunji sticks.

Somebody picked all the nectarines this year too...although that tree is closer to the street.

I'm beginning to wonder if we might have a more generalized "fruit" problem.

Imagine someone were to land on the Kuriles and Sakhalin in June '43. What could JJ bring in term of ground forces? Are the ground units on the main islands restricted?

Strictly out of prurient interest, of course.

The majority of the home islands ground units are restricted to the home 5 islands. A landing on the Kuriles, hypothetically of course, would trigger instantaneous reinforcements (ala the "red line" in India, Australia or New Zealand).

Exacatary! Occuptation of any hex with a 100 prefix (All of Formosa and all of the Ryukyus for eg.) triggers the home isrand frunkies.

But I looked. None arrive on the Kuriles or Sakhalin. The question is can some of the bad boys get on boats from Honsu or Kyushu or Hokaido and drive over to Sakhalin?

Oops. Maybe not. Perhaps only the "100" hexes trigger, not the "101" and "103" hexes. In that case, even the littel "jimas" right off the Japanese coast won't trigger. I am beginning to think the reinfrocement trigger notion on the Kuriles is wrong. Note that the Kamikaze ticking-timebomb trigger is different.

That island has an incorrect nationality code {Pescadores} - it has been set to Japan Mainland.

Not sure what it should have. Bump the question upstairs.

BTW, Formosa wont activate the reinforcements

Note that Paramushiro jima appears to be an exception to this observation. I can't open up the game (I'm at "work"), but some posts in the threads you cited referred to Paramushiro jima as a "100" base number. Dunno about Sakhalin.

Here is one of the Depot Divisions. OK equipment and warm bodies but rousy morale and training. Mainly useful for fortress garrison duty.

It's the trained divisions in China/Manchuria or Hokkaido/Kyushu/Honsho that would be the greater risk.

Would they be likely to have the PP's to bring multiple divisons?

tm.asp?m=2622371&mpage=1&key=Depot%2CDivision?
100 Japan (excluding Kuriles/Ryukyus/Izu Islands)
101 Japanese Home islands (Kuriles/Ryukyus/Izu Islands)
102 Japanese Pacific mandate (including Marianas except Guam, Carolines, Marshall Islands)
103 Formosa
104 Korea
105 Manchukuo
106 Indochina (except Vietnam)
107 Vietnam
108 Thailand

It looks like the Ishigaki islands are 103 from your pic - Formosa, and according to quote you have, Formosa does not trigger reinforcements, so Ishigaki should not.

I agree with that inference. Presumably, michaelm knows what he is talking about.

So here is what I have so far on the reinforcement trigger

Pescadores......YES, definitely (100 code)

Formosa, Orchid Is, Iriomote, Ishigaki and Horycrappo-jima....NO, probably [:)]

Okinawa, the rest of the Ryukyu's (except those already mentioned), the Kuriles and Japanese occupied Sakhalin....MAYBE, perhaps [:)]
