Karenko et environs: The crevah Arried strategy to shoehorn in some troops to Karenko while Kirishima was away rearming was....ummm..lacking in imagination. That's it. It turns out Kongo has been healed as well. I don't know where our surface groups went. They were no match for Kongo but at least they might have bought time. Important safety tip. If you are disembarking across the beach from an 8 Kt LCT and a 30 Kt Jap BB shows up, you should just get off the damn thing, not try to make a run for it. This looks worse than it is. The troops are from 158th RCT. Who would have thought an LCT could hold 400 men plus equipment? We lose 1,200. A big hit. Clearly our naval search efforts need some tweaking.
