Hypothetical

How well would Command possibly handle the opening day, or even more, of an air war over Germany in the 1980's? One of my favorite topics, but no game has ever really addressed it.

It would handle it well for a range of reasons

1) We've got a ton of import files available including SAM and radar belts which allows you to add units with a few clicks. So the time to build it out is significantly less. Players can build more of these and share.
2) Our map does change to match the era.
3) Our air, weapons and sensor models support it.
4) Our databases include most major systems over all eras.

So it would essentially come down to the ambition of a potential scenario creator?

Yeah as well the level of detail you want to achieve and the performance of your system. We didn't add a hard stop anywhere but you obviously shouldn't build a 8000 unit scenario on a 6 year old laptop. The manual has some tips and tricks in it to help get the most out of your builds. We all build scenarios as well so we'll be there to lend a hand and in the background we are constantly looking at performance as the more efficient we get the more we can do in the game.

We don't really look at this some game we're selling. We look at as a game we play and want to get the most out of it.
