date base viewer

Post by Af1352pasha »

At this moment all of us waiting for opening of purchase and download link.

But meanwhile there is an old question was forgotten.

Is there any date base editor supplied with the V1.00 release?
Another Important questions are:

1. Data base editing possibility.
2. There is no any information about fired missile in the game " if you push at the bottom for AIM-120 nothings will be shown!"
3. I need a answering to my new question, what is different between models for radars , guided weapons and sonars? is there exactly an algorithm for each system in the game? or all of the system do same act during game playing?

When I play the game , actually I imagine all system work base on their physical characteristic, with their weakness and their special ability.
Very interesting to know how the game engine simulate each items ability and weakness during run time. For example for a radar what is the limitation? how much error for identifying target? for a guided weapons such as AIM missile how the game engine work?

Most of my above subjects have a direct effect during game playing time. Hope to see a comprehensive manual about this shadow side of this software" Exactly I think it is more than an usual game, exactly it is a comprehensive software!!!"

Thanks for all to bring our dream to real life.

Hello,

1) The ability to mod a database has been taken from stand-alone programs and integrated into the Scenario Editor. You can edit a platform's weapons, sensors, comm systems and other properties and persist these changes on a scenario and even copy-paste them to other scenarios. This gives you the ability to do some new nifty things e.g. stick a Club-K container on an innocent merchant ship.

2) ???? Can you elaborate on that question ?

3) Weapons and sensors work according to their RL counterparts. Radars are affected by factors such as weather, clutter, jamming (true radar equation, incl. propagation loss), line of sight, horizon (incl. surface effect) and others. Likewise for sonars, IR sensors and so on.

Thanks for your kind words!

1) You can edit platforms in the scenario editor and via scenario config files: add/edit/delete weapons/mounts/magazines/sensors/comms gear & weapon datalinks. For more information please refer to the manual.

2) I believe this has also been requested by our beta testers and is on the to-do list?

3) Command has separate sensor models for radar and electronic warfare (ESM/ECM), visual, IR, and sonar (passive, active, ping intercept). There are also other types of sensors like laser designators/rangers and MAD but these don't have any 'models' per see.

The radar model takes a great number of factors into account, like frequencies, horizontal and vertical beamwidth, System Noise Level, Processing Gain/Loss, Peak Power, Pulse Width, Blind Time (pulse compression is your friend, woh-hoo!), PRF, min & max range, min & max altitude, scan interval, range/height/angle resolution, various capabilities such as air/surface/ground/periscope & range/altitude/speed/heading (RASH) info, OTH-B/OTH-SW, pulse-only & early/later doppler with limited/full LDSD, MTI, NCTR, Phased Array continuous target tracking, CW and CWI capability.

Phew.

Fair?

Thanks for reply

add some picture to fired weapons such as harpoon or sparrow missile with basic date will be great and will be in my wishlist.

Stand alone database editor will be good tool for modding and be in future wishlist.
