Corps formation patch question

Post by comsolut »

I have put my CSA 61 (now in MAY 62) campaign on hold due to the corps formation bug.

My question is the hotfix (by Ace) only works for games in progress before March 62,
will the official patch fix corps formation if the game has progressed past March 62?

Thanks.

Only the designers can say that with 100% certainty.
But from my knowledge how the game works, it may not. Corps formation is triggered by an event that happens in March 62. If your game is after that date, then the event cannot trigger since the dates do not match. They could mod the event so it fires every turn after march 62, but that wouldn't be good programing. Having an event that happens every turn just for your game[:)]
I could explain to you how you could mod activation date to late may (if you are in early may) for your current game. Of course, when you decide to start a new game, it is advisable to use official file that will come through patch.

I suspected that would be the case.

I will wait for the first patch and start again, using my first game as a learning experience.

Thanks for the quick reply.
