Steering Torps

Post by adek670 »

Guys,

Can I check to see if this is Working as designed please.

In the surface vessel tutorial, I lost my helo to the enemy surface vessel south of the island - as it was being attack, my helo launched a torpedo.

Even after the helo was destroyed, I am able to steer the torpedo.

Is this a capability that I am unaware of?

No, that definitely sounds like a bug.

Can you please post a save of that situation? Thanks!

I can confirm the exact same behavior on my PC, and I created a save file. Is there an e-mail address I can send it to (upload of the file here seems not to be supported)?

Place save game into a .zip file (a rt click operation in Windows) and upload that. Matrix accepts zips.

Sounds like a bug. You should not be able to manually steer air/ship launched torps in most cases even if the launch platform did not get destroy.

I feel like a moron since I still can't seem to get a zip file to work. However, renaming the .save file to a .txt file seemed to do the trick. Does that get you what you need?
