You...Have...Buchan...Benbecula...HF200 in the Shetlands

A HF200 is modeled in this game. A HF200.

If I had a sister I'd give her to you.

It's like I'm back at RAF Boulmer in the mid 80's.

Except the graphics are better

Hats off to whoever thought the 'Merge Range Rings' up. All those circles drove me mad in Harpoon

Someone mentioned shacks. Don't you mean 10 million rivets in loose formation?

jmscho - I was going to put that but thought no one would get the reference [:)]

I intend to do a scenario based upon the UK under attack in a WW3 setting, should be worth doing

Heard many of them flying, and the rattling of the rivets drowns out the sound of the engines.

I had absolutely no idea what you were talking about... But I think I do now:

I had the pleasure of seeing a 'nodding HF200' when on a detachment to Boulmer

Strangest thing I ever saw. Radar head turned 90 degrees to the ground.

But the best bit was the noise. Strange sort of 'Whump' as it it hit the limits of its arc.

Then slowly lifted itself again.

If I remember there was another 'strange radar' at Staxton Wold, something to do with triangulating Ivan's jammers.

I'll see if I can find a link.

6 weeks at the age of 17 at RAF West Drayton learning all about the UK Air Defences. I was, as our colonial cousins say, in hog heaven.
