<--- shouldnt make jokes about ppl grammatical errors as i top the list,

Rasmus

"T" refers to your countryman Terminus. No grammatical error. I wouldn't dare! He'd be all over them! In fact I generally use spellcheck on my postings to avoid his wrath and sarcasm! And as you know, I DON'T DO HIPPIES![:D] I figured that most regular posters here on the forum would find this test to be easy , and the 1st non-American to come to mind was "T" , or Terminus. He speaks English better than I , and probably knows American history better. [:(][8|]

I know T.... sorry my joke was very bad. Spoiler Alert:
Iknow(Ipad,Iphone) = the apple connection. T can = Teacan = teapot. Drinking tea out of a teapot = hippie its all so obvious...[8|]

Well, Iknow is a grammatical "error", not that i dont do 100 of those a days.

U dont DO Hippies, there is a another bad joke in there some where, but i better not. (military service being the ultimate communal/sociaty service aka socialist in nature. Dont tell the rest of the Americans tho [;)] )

Columbus did not prove the world was round, everyone knew it was who had any education, and the sailors certainly knew. It was widely known all the way back to the ancient Greeks. They taught us that myth about flat earthers in abundance when I was a kid. It was bull then. This guy was remarkably close in his calculation of Earth's diameter.

I'm sorry. I didn't think to ask. Were you talking about everyone on GORN knowing the earth was round in Columbus time? [&:] Why didn't you just land and eat us? [&:][:D] Bad navigation? [:D]

My starship broke down that time, otherwise I would have.

So Gorn are also not-very-good-mechanics? [:D] Too much "percussive maintenance"?[:D]

what the Louisiana purchase is.

Popeye's chicken with dirty rice and biscuits? Last time I was in Louisiana, I purchased that. Good stuff, that Louisiana purchase. I'd do it again too. [8D]

Me to. Know idea who John Roberts is.

Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Or at least the current one. He replaced Rehnquist when he died.

I took one of those citizenship exam things a few months back. I think I got a 98. I don't always remember which constitutional amendment is which number. I think there was a question on there about which amendment started prohibition.

It is scary how ignorant some people are about history. I am concerned about the quote about those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it being true. If it is, we're in for a world of hurt. History is full of mistakes I'd rather see the human race not have to repeat!

Oh and about the world being round and who figured it out. From what I've heard and read, most educated people knew the Earth was round in the 1400s, but there was a lot of debate about the diameter of the world. When Columbus made his pitch to the Spanish monarchs, he used the smallest diameter possible making it look like getting to the East Indies would be just about where the Caribbean was. The reason he called the natives he met Indians, and that region is called the West Indies today is because Columbus found the New World just about exactly where he thought he would find the East Indies.

The whole story is kind of fascinating really.

If an American adult fails that test, they should not be allowed to reproduce.
