Ship Control Question

Post by Mac Linehan »

Gents -

I am doing the Lions Den scenario, as the USN. My problem is this:

As the Vietnamese PT boats close and launch torpedoes, the AI automatically has my ships turn, run and evade which can be eminently sensible.

However, I would prefer to maneuver, unmask each of my two group's batteries and engage the opposing forces. After all, that is the Manly thing to do...

Implementing new speed and headings (even after deactivating groups and detaching) has no effect and is ignored by the AI. I suspect that I am missing something basic.

Awesome game. Rules are a quick read, with enough similarity to Harpoon to allow rapid assimilation.

Thank You all for your help.

If you hate the automatic "going defensive" routines you can disable them in ROE's. It on you to escape though. You can also cancel many mission behaviors by pressing the u button.

Mike -

Am familiar with the ROE menu; due to Alien Mind Control I completely forgot about those handy settings...

Thank You, Sir!
