Weapon datalinks

Playing the air ops tutorial and one of the scenarios raises some questions. I was under the impression that the Walleye 2 and GBU-15 were equipped with a datalink - and their aircraft do carry datalink pods. However, the 'show datalinks' option doesn't show the datalink link between the dropping A/C and the weapon.
Is the bomb being guided in this case? How do we know? Are their factors which influence the use of datalink? Both of these weapons do have a 'lock on before launch' mode which wouldn't need the datalink....
