Another view of the north front lines. The lines near the gap have been broken and John's units
are pouring through so now all my stuff near Pskov are in trouble. I'm going to have to see if I
can't pull those guys to the east and set up another new front line where the double blue lines are.
Those guys defending Leningrad are just going to fend for themselves. They should be able to
hold out for another four turns I'm guessing.

Hm... why so? Why don't you fall back to the river Luga and the swamps south of Lake Ilmen?

But beware the combined Finnish/German army heading south/southwest from Karelia. Do you have anyone that you can send up there? If this is not possible, your initial plan might be better.

Here's all the stuff I'm supposed to get next turn. A whole lot of it is reconstituted so I expect those to be cherry red. I'm torn between
moving them when they are red and cost less to move, or letting them rest first before I move them. I think moving them first when they
are still red might delay the refit process somehow but I have no proof of that.

My advice would be to rest them for a while. If they are red when they arrive they will be of no use at the front anyway. No point in losing them with an immediate deployment to the front. But it really depends on how desperate you are at a particular point at the front.

Thanks Petey dude. I think you're right. I saw an example where a Fort was going to cost 214 to embark on the train but it was still
cherry red. And there was another Fort unit I wanted to move and it only cost 224 to embark and it was emerald green. So it doesn't
cost all that much when they are ripe compared to unripe so it makes sense to rest them. I haven't compared the cost of a Division
or a Brigade or a Regiment. Probably similar to the Fort.

I just happened to stumble upon a covert group of Axis units already across the river. And I've already moved all my rail cap. and there's
no nearby blockers to employ. D'oh. It looks like John has done it again. This playing w/ no borders on is taking some getting used to.
I'm not used to not being able to see where everybody is etc.

High there Petey dude. Um.......I'm retired and can respond to Johns moves usually within an hour or so. John on the other hand is
married and has to work full time and, well, sometimes it takes a day or two for his moves to show up at my house. I'm lucky he's
playing me at all. On the other hand I may have forgotten to send my moves to him, again, and he's waiting on my moves. D'oh.

No I got it Larry but as you said I am married with 4 kids (3 still at home) I work full time and I am also do commuinty work for a charity as their accountant and I also run my own SMSF. 30 sept is the end of the quarter so I have 3 BAS (business activity statments) to do / prepare for so at the moment I am flat out. I hope to be able to finish the current turn by Tuesday night.

Okay......I got some moves from John just now and This is the north part of the front lines. I'm getting pushed backward in several
places and the active engagement is turned on so it's a chore trying to get away from John's units so I can reposition. I've committed
just about everybody I can afford to the Leningrad area and it's looking like Leningrad is going to fall sooner rather than later.

Here's the middle of the front lines and everything seems stable in this area so far.

Here's the lower part of the front lines. John is making progress in several areas. I'm not sure I can stop him in the south. Savage
fighting going on near Kiev.

There are several areas that are new hot spots and this is one of them.........near the Kiev area John is making progress crossing the
river in a spot where my blocking was thin and I don't have the people nearby to stop him this time.

Agreed; the Kiev area is looking bad for the Soviets. Still some options availible at L-grad but Kiev is looking bad. Use of the river twists may slow him down for a bit but the Axis will clear the entire area in a few turns.

I'm thinking John may have won the game by getting across the river w/o my knowing about it here. His units are moving into this area
from up north so I'm thinking he's got a good hole going on and is moving people through it. I may have an ace up my sleeve however,
because the terrain is twisty in that area. Maybe I can get enough people into the path of John's units to slow him down somewhat.

Here's how the air war is going. John is bombing my airbases and doing airfield attacks and it's starting to show.

Would not be allowed to do this except in exceptional circumstances. And recce battalions holding 30km+ to close a pocket. LMAO.

I think you're correct. This will probably tip the scales alright. And John is taking advantage of every advantage he has. Good for
him. Makes for a better game.

I notice that I tend to do that too and I agree w/ you that they should stay w/in range of the heavier units for protection or else they
could get killed.
