Su27s on a ferry mission, still attack

So sent my su27s to ferry from on base to another. They pick up unknown contacts and proceed to chase the contacs instead. How do I cancel this?

When you say Ferry, do you mean using a Ferry mission?

That is strange. Aircraft shouldn't attack unless directed to by the player or mission. Do you have a saved game to post?
