idea for some of the buttons and windows

Post by SilentHunter »

I'm sure there are other interfaces but I noticed tonight when playing the sub tutorial that the contact window does not refresh if left open. It manually needs to be closed and reopened. If it can't dynamically refresh what about this : when you click the damage ctrl, magazines, weapons, sensors, or contact report button it opens the dialog window, if you press the button again it closes the open dialog window. This would save us from having close the window then come back and press the button again. Often I find I open one of these windows but don't need to do anything, another click of the same button to close the open window would be great.

EDIT * Other thoughts for ease of use. I like how when viewing the possible matches under contact report, that when I double click the database opens so I can see how the other possible units stack up. I don't have great knowledge of military hardware and weapons so the easy for me to get to the info the better. I wish I was to do this when looking at weapons though.

Cool. I was just thinking along similar lines tonight. Basically somethinh that forestalls the need to close a dialog box if another button is pressed (for the same type of daialog box). So for example, if I click on one unit type in a group and pull up the DB window, I can then just click on another unit type and have the open DB window update with the new unit info, instead of having to close it.
