Some Game Launch Errata

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Some Game Launch Errata

Post by CapnDarwin »

A couple of items we missed going into the gold master for the game. Probably not the only things either. So if you spot something let us know and we will post it and correct it where we can.

Game Manual
1. The Ctrl-M function to view movement range was removed from the game because it was deemed too confusing to just about everyone. All of the manual images where fixed and the hot keys were edited, but a reference to it still exists in the manual. Please ignore it and I'll try not to do edits in the am hours again. [:D]

2. The <Game Updates> tab in the TOC will not show up until we release the first update. The information and location in the manual is accurate. I just failed to mention it won't be seen in the initial release.

3. One missing rule. If you select the limited orders option from the game settings, you cannot use unit multi-select. It is turned off to keep folks from issuing massive orders to a bunch of units thus making the selection irrelevant in play.

Known Game Play Issues
Thankfully at the moment we are only aware of one that showed up after going gold. It will be fixed with any other bugs we missed (hopefully few and far between) in the first update.

1. If you are creating a new scenario and have not put any units on the map at the point you select a unit insignia, hit the "Proceed" tab you will get a "Division by zero." error. Hit "OK" on the error dialog and then hit "Cancel" on the main dialog and the insignia will be set.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!
