No doubt about it. The British Museum is the finest antiquities museum I have ever been to. They just have an unbelievable collection of cool stuff dug up in other countires by little brown men at 3 cents per day. [:D] Also, there is an astounding collection of bronze and iron age objects that had just been tossed into a bog somewhere on the British Isles by whoever came before the Celts. Evidently, some of these proto-Celts were involved in the design of AE because I frequently see valuable objects tossed into the water during amphibious landings.

When I was at the British Museum I just turned a corner and there was the Rosetta Stone. No line. No guards. Nobody else even cared. I was astounded, not knowing it had been dug up by little brown men and brought to London. I called out to me kids, "Hey guys! It's the f****** Rosetta Stone!" Just like that. I used the gerund form of a verb derived from the Old High German to emphaisze the links between civilizations. It is the duty of a parent to use such opportunities to impart wisdom.

Formosa/Horycrappo-jima: The inscrutable WJD fool us..they no show up. I will have to look at the game file but it appears they moved their BB a bit closer to the targets but did not attack. They showed blitz, causing us to pull back our amphibious groups and then they fall back into pass defense. Bloody annoying at the time but you still have to admire the move. They did more damage by NOT attacking than they would have by attacking. They could do the same thing tonight or they could raid. Either way, we can hardly send them back until Washington arrives on scene. Crevah, annoying rittah yerrow baaahstards.

There were some desultory Heren raids on the guys at Horycrappo-jima but they were driven off by our small LRCAP of P-38's flying from Batan Is. An interesting aspect of game mechanics is you can't damage an airfield before it is built. [:)]

Thats good isn't it - they blast down trees and uproot Tarro plants so the SeaBees don't have to, speeding up construction. Also the HOA and environmentalists can harass the LYBs and not our guys. It's a win/win [:D]
