Build 441, Formation Editor

Post by George Patton »

What's changed? The F4 key doesn't work anymore. I've Invincible sailing too the east of the TF and I cannot change my formation. [&:]

Try switching to Group View (press 9 on the keypad) and THEN pressing F4. See if that works.

Would be nice if we could click-drag and drop like we could in Harpoon. Lots of things about the UI that I don't like.

I think it's about the feature from the classic Harpoon in the formation editor. When circle range net is displayed and you simply drag and drop unit icons from the list on the net. When the editor is closed the units acdtually begin moving to these positions.

If that's indeed it, then Command's formation editor will suit you fine:

1) Bring up formation editor
2) Click-select desired unit
3) Click on "Set formation station" button. Mouse cursor changes to "hand". Click on map, on the desired position relative to group lead. The station caret will appear on the clicked location, and the unit should start moving towards it.
4) Repeat 2-3 as desired for other group members.
