Retired USN submariner here. And yes, Command would have been extremely useful as a training aid for us.

I'm retired USN. I actually used Harpoon and "North Atlantic 1985" as training aids 22 years ago, and got outstanding class reviews at the time. Concur that Command would definitely be a training force multiplier "out of the box" for the O-2 to O-4 level students. Possibly useful for other ranks, but would depend on the scenario used and teaching objective for those ranks.

Former "hole snipe"(machinist mate) here.  Wouldn't have done me a bit of good chipping rust in the bilge.  My command talents were sadly underutilized in my former position. [;)]

Still serving, Canadian Army, not much longer now. Would've joined the Navy but I get seasick, [:'(] would've joined the Air force but I crashed their simulator at selection[8|]. Been a gunner for 30+ years and still having fun[8D].

Ex- US Army, 82d Airborne Division. But my dad was a naval architect so I've always been interested in ships and the Navy.

US Army Infantry and medical core MOSes. If guys are into their FMs and get high SQT scores this should be a nice challenge for them.
As far as a training aid, I would think that possibility is there but, the program needs to avail the player more micro management capability.

I'm considering donating a copy to our local NROTC unit (I put about 20 credits in there when I was in college just for fun).
