What factors influence accuracy of GBU/LGB bombing?

I was not happy with my strike percentage using two groups of Strike Eages in the PLO raid mission. I did a manual attack, using the GBU glide bombs and then the LGBs. Lots of misses, so I slowed the a/c down and lowered their ingress altitude for the next pass but they still didn't seem to strike with the ruthless precision I'd expect from the IAF. How can I optimise accuracy in the future?
